Subang Jaya Medical Center (SJMC) is committed to providing, and sustaining a safe, healthy and conducive environment through this unprecedented situation. In the true spirit of “People Caring for People”, our key focus at SJMC continues to be prioritising the well-being of our staff, doctors, and patients.

INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS

Our hospital is open as usual, for anyone who needs medical attention. However, when you come to the hospital you will see that we have strict screening procedures in place.

You will be required to scan the available QR codes using the MySejahtera app that does a risk assessment of the user. At the same time, we will do a temperature check to ensure that you do not have fever. We also check our doctors and staff every day.

Hand sanitisers are located throughout the hospital. Seating is separated in the clinic areas and other parts of the hospital to ensure that safe distances are maintained as per the MOH guidelines.

These measures are designed to ensure that you, your loved ones and our staff are as safe as possible during this period.

In light of recent COVID-19 development in Malaysia, hospital management continues to take precautionary measures to restrict visitors and visiting hours at our current entry points into the hospital to safeguard our patients, visitors, doctors and staff.

Visitor Policy

In-line with the Government's Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), the visitor policy for inpatient will be revised with effect from 22/3/2021 as per below.

  • Visiting hours from 12 noon - 8pm
  • Only ONE visitor per patient at any one time
  • The visitor MUST wear a mask at all times

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

  1. Is SJMC still open?
    SJMC is open and operating as usual. We accept patient appointments and surgical operations and procedures are conducted as per usual.
  2. Is SJMC allowing visitors?
    There is nothing more important than yours and your families’ health. That is our priority too, and to protect all our patients, and staff, SJMC have made some changes while there is a threat of
    COVID-19 transmission. These changes include a new visitors’ policy in line with the government’s Movement Control Order.
  3. Is SJMC doing COVID-19 tests?
    Yes. The hospital has a dedicated station located at ER department. The test is a RT-PCR test and you will be able to obtain the results within 24 hours.
    The test can be done daily from Mon - Sun, 8am - 6pm (Including Public Holidays).

  4. Is SJMC providing medication delivery to home?
    Yes, we do. The hospital offers Home Medication Delivery or Pick Up Services for our own hospital patients only. New patients are not eligible for this service. We provide free delivery to homes within a

  5. Are the tests done by SJMC approved by KKM?
    Yes. The samples are processed in SJMC's laboratory which is approved by KKM to process these samples.
  6. Does SJMC provide drive-thru test?
    SJMC does not provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing.
  7. Are there discounts for Senior citizens / children under the age of 12?
    We do not offer any discounts for Senior citizens and children under the age of 12.
  8. Can a patient be admitted in SJMC if their COVID-19 test result is from another hospital?
    All admissions to our hospital will be required to undergo a complimentary COVID-19 test in SJMC.
  9. Between PCR and Rapid Test, which is more accurate?
    Both tests are done by taking swabs. However,the PCR test is more sensitive in the acute phase of infection.
  10. Since Subang Jaya is currently under the red zone, is it safe to come to SJMC to do the COVID-19 test?
    Yes, it is safe to come to SJMC as we follow all necessary safety protocols.
